Blurb
All Princess Celina wants is to stay on her beloved island of Antaka, marry a man of her culture, and make her papa proud. So when Prince Joqua ships her off to America, Celina’s believes she’s being punished. While she’s not prepared for the wild ways of the Americans, no one is more surprised than her when she finds herself falling for a California hottie…

Drake Randall looks forward to a vacation from work, especially if it means showing the princess how people their age have fun. But when Celina strips off all her clothes and announces she’s trained in Kama Sutra, he’s left with an even bigger problem than wanting to make love to the princess.
Drake's holding on to a secret that could not only ruin his chances with Celina, but could also ultimately destroy her.

Betraying the Prince - Excerpt

Celina swung the door open to a surprised Drake. He stood there with his arm raised, ready to knock, but she'd been listening for footsteps since she came to her room. She reached through the opening and grabbed his shirt.

"I thought you would never get here." She giggled.

With the lamp beside the bed covered with a scarf, the darkened room cast a sensual atmosphere over them both. Celina walked her fingers up Drake's shoulders and around his neck. She'd trained her whole life for this one moment to become a woman.

"It looks like I came overdressed," he murmured against her throat.

She'd greeted him naked, except for the bracelets she kept on her wrists. Stepping away, she backed toward the bed to let him see there was nothing holding her from making love to him. She sat on the edge of the bed and arranged her hair to cover her nakedness.

"Stand back up." Drake stood in front of her in only his trousers, his shirt long gone.

She stood, her body heated and more than ready for him. She stepped toward him, but he held up his hand.

"Do you want me upside down?" She raised one of her eyebrows and waited for instructions. She knew the moves, but without him telling her what he wanted, she wasn't sure what the next step should be.

"Upside down?" He unzipped his pants.

She nodded. "It's rated the favorite position for most men. Don't American men have knowledge of what positions are best for their satisfaction?"

Drake's Adam's apple jumped. "I don't know about all American men, but this man wants you to have pleasure too."

"Oh, I will, Drake. Just being around you gives me butterflies in my stomach and makes me want to rub myself all over you until I explode."

"Then let's start there." He lay on the bed. "Later, maybe I'll have you upside down."

If you’d like to learn if Celina finally shows Drake her Kama Sutra moves, you can purchase Betraying the Prince here. It’s also at All Romance ebook store here. Soon it’ll be available at most ebook stores!

The Allure Of Sexy Vampires

I think that my vampires in general were influenced by my being allowed to watch the Hammer vampire films. Vampire Circus, also shown as Circus of Fear, was one of those movies." - Laurell K. Hamilton

I'm as influenced by Hammer Films as Ms. Hamilton. Whilst I have never written a vampire novel (I prefer werewolves), I was enraptured by Christopher Lee when I was kid, with my butt parked two inches in front of the TV all the way down in our unfinished basement, in the dark, at o-dark-thirty in the morning. Running up two flights of stairs in the dark at 4 am, hearing all kinds of noises as the house settled in the dead of night, and hoping I didn't squeal like the little girl I was and wake my parents made my Saturday nights. I also saw Vampire Circus as well as other Hammer classics like Horror Of Dracula, Dracula Has Risen From The Grave, and Dracula Prince Of Darkness

To me, for the longest time, vampires were dead, horrific creatures. There was nothing romantic about them, although Christopher Lee was a very handsome man. I couldn't get away from the teeth. The blood. The bites. The bruises. The painful death.

It wasn't until I discovered Hammer's The Vampire Lovers that I learned vampires could be seductive and attractive in a more lustful way. Ingrid Pitt ruled as Carmilla in The Vampire Lovers, which was based on J. Sheridan LeFanu's classic story Carmilla, which was also chock full of lesbian undertones.

Now she is a gorgeous vampire! Just my type.

Vampires have been romanticized since Stoker's Dracula and Bela Lugosi's, Max Shreck's, and Chris Lee's portrayal of the undead. Anne Rice is in part greatly responsible for the new, erotic and romantic vision. I'm watching Interview With The Vampire right now. Brad Pitt and even Tom Cruise sure are pretty! Then there is every straight woman's favorite vamp as of late, Mick St. John on Moonlight. Alex O'Loughlin is so gorgeous he takes my breath away! No wonder I'm hooked on Hawaii Five-0 now.

As you can see, I purposefully did not mention any vampires from Twilight. This is a "Sparkle Free" zone. LOL

So which vampires do you find attractive, male or female? Which erotic vamp books do you enjoy? And why?

5 Gold Crowns and a Recommended Read for PROTECTIVE CUSTODY!

I'm so excited! My sexy contemporary romance PROTECTIVE CUSTODY got 5 Gold Crowns and a Recommended Read from The Readers Roundtable! Thanks, Mar!

“I have to admit I was first drawn to this book because of the erotic cover, but after the first few paragraphs, I knew I was in for a real treat. Ms. Tyler captivated me with her writing style, impressive voice, and extremely well developed characters. I have read several other stories where the protector and the protectee fell in love, but never one as powerful or as palpable as Protective Custody.

Ms. Tyler is skillful at interweaving suspense with romance while having her characters maintain genuine actions and dialogue. For an amazing read that will have you hanging on to every page for either the suspense or the sizzling sex scenes, Protective Custody won’t leave you disappointed.”

Power of ThreePOWER OF THREE

A Walk on the Wild Side Publication

It's no fun being dumped almost at the altar, but newly not engaged Laurie decides to make the best of things and enjoy her honeymoon at an exotic Caribbean resort all on her own. The plan is to lie in the sun, read a book, do a bit of birdwatching and exploring... anything to take her mind off her rat of an ex fiance and the bimbo he got pregnant.

But it's not easy to forget about love and sex when everyone around her at the resort is getting in on. Pretty soon, she's using her binoculars to spy on creatures a bit higher up the evolutionary scale - the hot threesome in one of the adjacent cabanas, and the gorgeously hunky gay couple who are also staying just across the courtyard.

These delicious men especially fire her senses and make her forget her romantic woes, and when she realises that they're watching her while she's watching them, what else is a girl to do but accept the invitation of a lifetime, and become part of a threesome herself?

But what if her luscious faux honeymoon menage is only the beginning of better and hotter things to come?

Cover for PIRATE'S WOMAN!

Here's the cover for PIRATE'S WOMAN! Syneca is the artist and it comes out Jun 14th as part of the Ahoy Series. It features the very hot Caveman Angelo, so I like it!

To honor the debt her family owes Slayter Cardona, beautiful Teyla Dunai agrees to let him sell her as a sex slave in the markets of Arkhon. Determined to bring as much value as she can on the auction block, but inexperienced where men are concerned, she asks the handsome pirate if he’ll teach her how to pleasure a man. Intrigued, and more than a little attracted to the lavender-eyed beauty, Slayter agrees.

As he initiates her into the world of bondage, spanking and out-of-this-galaxy sex, though, both Teyla and Slayter find themselves falling for each other. But Slayter has a responsibility to his crew, and Teyla knows it is her duty to pay off her family’s debt. With the deal already agreed upon, there doesn’t seem to be any way for their story to have a happy ending.

Or is there?

A Change of Heart

By A.J. Llewellyn

I need help! Normally titles comes to me, whether they end up being good or bad, but for the third and final book in my M/M, WWII Pearl Harbor series I need help in coming up with the title.
Gypsy Heart, the sequel to my best-selling first book, Vagabond Heart, will be published June 13 by Total-e-Bound.
The title of the book, Vagabond Heart, fit the story of Tinder McCartney, a Honolulu gay male prostitute in WWII who finds love with his client, Jason Qui, on the eve of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Gypsy Heart, the second story in these men's lives came to me easily. Although their relationship and commitment to one another deepen, the ravages of war take their toll on their lives. Jason makes the heartbreaking decision to undertake a secret mission for the US - a mission that actually did occur in real life.
In the third book, I want to convey that they are together at last and that their love is eternal. I tossed around ideas like Eternal Heart, Forever Heart...I even thought about Purple Heart, but maybe some of you have some ideas?
The winning entry will get a free ebook copy of Gypsy Heart when it comes out June 13. If you don't have Vagabond Heart, you'll get that, too. You will also get a thank you in the final book (publication date November, 2011) and a copy of that book, too.
So, please help me...and may the best title win!

Aloha oe,

A.J.

Saturday Soulful Quotes

Hello everyone and welcome to another addition of Saturday Soulful Quotes. Today, I have several great books I think you will like for this month's feature. So, grab a seat, pick up a pen and paper, and enjoy! Remember, these are all lines from authors unafraid of getting a little soulful, sappy, or even suggestive in their books.

And all the books I'm featuring today are books I have personally read and loved. So feel free to leave a comment and let me know which ones strike a chord with you.
Happy Saturday!

“Are you a virgin?” he asked. His observant eyes told her he already knew the truth of it. But the words were like icy water showering down on her head.

“Of course! ’Tis rude of you to ask such a question.”

He smirked. Oh, how she detested that smirk. He thought he was so clever, divining her responses like a man with much experience in the bedchamber. She must be most careful and not allow him to see her arousal. But he had caught her unawares with that lick. Who, with their wits about them, did such a thing to a stranger?

“And do not lick me again, sir.”

He didn’t bother to hide his broad grin this time. “You enjoyed it.”

Indeed she did, blast him. She couldn’t foil her attraction to him. ’Twas beyond her control.

“I enjoyed it, as well,” he said.

It was not like that at all. Neel’s tongue traced the outline of hers lips, slow and enticing, not a bit revolting. When his lips nudged hers gently she opened her mouth, sighing. He kissed her slowly and deeply, a silken invasion that set her heart pounding. Her hold on him increased, involuntarily, and she felt his response in the strength of his hand on her back, fingers splayed, supporting her. Guiding her. He drew her against his chest until she could feel her breasts taut and aching against his warm flesh and started to resist. Immediately, his grip slackened and he lifted his face from hers.

“I’m only playing, little Saxon,” he whispered.
~Miriam Newman, The Comet

Frank nuzzled her hair as he whispered, "If I was ten years younger... and alive, of course, I'd teach your boy here what it means to fight for something. Someone," he corrected. "I'd fight for you, Cam, if I could." He forced himself to roll away again. "But I can't," he said, his voice bleak and heavy with resignation.
~Margaret Ethridge, Paramour

"I didn't dress up to go out, Superman," she murmured.

Superman--

His brain went all hazed and hot.

Then she straightedned away from the door and reached for the belt of her jacket.

All the blood in his head drained away as he realized she was naked under that thing--naked save for a pair of red lace panties and those oh so sexy fuck-me shoes.

The Big Four-Oh

By A.J. Llewellyn

So I hit the big 4-0 today and I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, to be really, really, really honest, I didn't think I would still be there. My brothers and I have struggled with the fact that one by one we have all passed D-day, which is the age of 37, the age our mother was when she died.

We are, thank God, healthy and cancer-free and to some extent we all feel guilty that there was no cure for colon cancer when she became gravely ill. I recently had a conversation with both my brothers who, like me, secretly thought we wouldn't make it to the big 4-0...now I'm here, I feel like we have each been handed a gift. I know all three of us live each day like it's the last one on earth. We truly do.

People ask about my prolific work ethic and I think that it's partly to do with the short-life-phobia but more than anything it is just an endless thank you to the universe for allowing my passion for writing to be realized.

I have been so blessed to be a published author and to have been able to connect with so many readers and writers online who, like me, also have a passion for books.

I can't help feeling that even though I am starting to feel aches and pains, can no longer indulge my obsession with ice cream and cornflakes for breakfast and I am starting to forget where I left the car keys...I am here. I am alive and I am writing and listening to music, I have the most awesome romantic partner ever, the best dog on four legs, two handsome, amazing cats...and I have the big 4-0.

I want to thank all my readers and fellow authors who have reached out to me over the last four years. I hope you still do even though I am officially middle-aged.

ARRRGH!

Anyone else noticing changes with the passing of years? What thing do you hate most? Please leave a comment and I'll be giving away a free paperback of my new book The Love God of Indian Frybread.

Aloha oe,

A.J.

I've Got a New Book Out and It's Just $0.99 on Amazon Kindle and B&N Nook, and at ARE!

I'm so excited! I've got a new book out and it's just $0.99 on Amazon Kindle, B&N Nook and at ARE! It's called THE POSTMAN ALWAYS COMES TWICE and it's fun, sexy and smokin' hot!

I actually came up with idea while my hubby and I were out walking our dog. We were talking about my book GOOD COP, BAD GIRL and how popular books about cops are when the UPS man drove by. I said I wondered if women get hot for all men in uniform, like a UPS driver. My hubby said, or even a postman. I laughed and said, sure, the postman always comes twice. We looked at each other and both said, that'd be a great name for a book! So there you have it!

This postman is carrying one hell of a package!

Charisma Harlow has been lusting after her hunky postman Travis Walker ever since he started delivering her mail a few months ago. In fact, she’s so hot for him, she finds herself ordering things online so he’ll show up more often. When her subtle flirting doesn’t do the trick, she decides to finally get serious and seduce him outright. She orders the heaviest thing she can find so he’ll have to bring it inside her apartment, then greets him at the door in nothing but a short, sexy robe when he shows up.

Travis gets the message and spends his lunch hour proving he really knows how to deliver—in the bedroom.

Exerpt:

There, standing on her doorstep, was six-foot-four inches of gorgeous stud. She would never have imagined the button-up shirt and blue trousers that made up the postal service uniform could be so damn sexy on anyone, but on Travis, it looked
hot as hell. She supposed it could have something to do with those impossibly broad shoulders and muscular biceps. Damn, he was built.

She could tell from the way he took in her robe he was surprised she wasn’t wearing her usual tank top and pajama bottoms. His golden eyes caressed the curve of her breasts for a moment before lingering on her long legs, and Charisma felt heat pool between her thighs at the flicker of lust she saw there. To her dismay, he immediately hid it behind a façade of professionalism.

“It looks as if I have another delivery for you,” he said, holding out the electronic clipboard. “What did you buy this time?”

“A spinning bike.” She glanced at him form under her lashes as she signed her name in the signature block. “It looks really heavy. Do you think you could bring it inside for me?”

He flashed her his usual heart-stopping grin. “No problem.”

As he bent to pick up the big box, Charisma stepped back so her could come into the
apartment.

“Where do you want it?” he asked.

Anywhere you want to give it to me. She blushed at the naughty thought as she closed the door. “If you could put it in my home office, that would be great. It’s down the hall on the right.”

Even though the box was obviously heavy, Travis had no problem carrying it, Charisma
noticed. She had no problem admiring his great ass as she followed him down the hall, either. She caught her lip between her teeth to stifle a moan.

“Is this okay?” he asked as he set the box down in one of the few open spaces left in the room.

Between her desk, the built-in bookcase, file cabinets and the boxes of stuff she’d bought over the past couple weeks, floor space was definitely at a premium. She’d been so busy with work and ordering things online she hadn’t had a chance to open most of the boxes yet.

“That’s fine,” she said. “Thanks.”

He looked around the room, his mouth quirking. “You certainly buy a lot of stuff.”

She felt her face color at the amusement in his deep voice, and she reached up to tuck her long, dark hair behind her ear in an effort to hide her embarrassment. “Yeah, I guess I do. Fortunately for my bank account, I end up sending most of it back.”

His gaze scanned the boxes again before coming to rest on the rectangular box on the
edge of her desk. He studied the contents for a moment before reaching inside to pull out the hot pink vibrator she’d gotten a week ago.

Her lips curved into a smile. Score, she thought. She’d purposely left it there in the hopes he would see it. So much for rusty flirting skills.

He gave her a sidelong glance and her pulse fluttered when she saw that the lust she’d noticed earlier was back in his mesmerizing golden brown eyes.

“You aren’t planning on sending this back, are you?” he asked.

“I’m not sure. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet.” She gazed up at him from under her lashes, giving him her best flirtatious look. “Too bad you have mail to deliver. You could have stayed and helped me take it for a test drive.”

Charisma had never been so bold with a guy before, but since her subtle attempts at
flirtation hadn’t worked, she didn’t want there to be any confusion she was coming on to him. Even so, the words made her blush a little. They hadn’t even gone on a date and she was already inviting him into her bed.

Travis’s mouth curved into a sexy grin. “I was actually going to take lunch after I
delivered your package anyway, so I’m off the clock for the next hour. I could hang
around if you think I might be able to help.”

Her heart did a backflip. She had to admit, she hadn’t expected her plan to actually work.

“Really?”

“Really.”

“Are you sure it’s okay? To spend your lunch hour with a woman on your mail route, I
mean?”

He took a step closer, his grin broadening. “It’s perfectly okay. Satisfaction is our number one priority at the Postal Service, you know.”

The Love God of Indian Frybread

Ever Beleno just met an older man...about two thousand years older!

By A.J. Llewellyn

Several months ago I had afternoon tea with my friend Rosie and a bunch of other people who plan esoteric day trips that had, up until this occasion never really inspired my romance novels. They were, however a much needed diversion from my computer.
Somebody casually mentioned the Mummies of the World exhibit and I was excited to join the group planning a trip there.
I asked Rosie if she wanted to go.
"Oh, no." She actually shivered. "I'd be too afraid of something following me home."
Dear, darling, Rosie. She inspired what has become my latest novel, The Love God of Indian Frybread.
In it, Ever Beleno, a Hollywood archivist, goes to the exhibit and is followed home by the spirit of an ancient Egyptian priest.
I went to the exhibit myself, stunned by the crush of people. I'd never heard of the Science Museum up until that day and it was an effort to get a closer look at all the mummies. I'd had no idea that Egypt wasn't the only country to mummify people, and/or animals. The exhibit is macabre but fascinating. I had trouble with the mummified dogs, cats, monkeys and lizards etc...but in the back of my mind came the idea:
Ever Beleno just met an older man...about two thousand years older!
The story took shape quickly once I set on how I would tell my tale. I did some research into Egyptian pharaohs and also used a roommate I once had who collects Hollywood memorabilia from studio dumpsters and combined the two.
Every dumpster dive depicted is true and my mate John has the actual Lost in Space spaceship in his living room. Many years ago when we shared digs, you couldn't get past the damned thing it took up so much er...space.
He was fond of inviting strangers over to look at his finds. I woke up one night to a lot of noise and found actor Christian Slater in our living room. I think he was a little bemused by it all, but he was apparently a huge sci-fi fan and once people got a close look at that space ship, they knew they were seeing something special.
John even had a massive gun prop from the British series Red Dwarf he hijacked from a dumpster in London. Try getting on board a plane with a five-foot weapon in this post 9/11 era.
It was fun to visit old Hollywood and recall my fondness for its history for The Love God of Indian Frybread. There are many of us who are passionate about the old stars, the old time movies and Hollywood legend.
I took my niece and nephew to Universal Studios during the writing of this book and in what was a clear case of serendipity, we rode that manic roller coaster The Mummy's Revenge, which gave me my final piece to the book's puzzle.
Of course, I wanted to write down verbatim what the mummy shrieks on the ride and had no trouble convincing the kids to go on it a second time. But these are, after all, the same kids who have forced me to sit through multiple viewings of the Disney movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame many times in a single weekend.
Going on a ride twice? Easy peasy.
Thanks to Amber Allure, The Love God God of Indian Frybread is out now in ebook form and soon to be released in paperback.
Please leave a comment to qualify for a paperback copy of the book!

When do you feel best? In the morning, afternoon, or evening? When the soft limbs of a woman are wrapped around me.

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be? The Caribbean.

What super-power would you most like to have, and why? I’d be able to fly. I love flying and gliding through the air. That’s how I broke my leg last year, paragliding.

Dark or Milk Chocolate? Dark, I like it rich, luscious, mysterious, tangy…

Dreamer or doer? Doer. I like adventure, I like to solve a mystery. I’m not one to sit back and let life pass me by. Definitely gonna act.

Believe in love at first sight? Absolutely. Fate plays a funny part in our lives and who am I to say no to a good thing?

Favorite donut? Sorry! Had to ask! *chuckles* Not all cops love donuts… But I do, Boston Kreme… I like to lick the cream from the center.

Clean freak or total slob? I’m more middle of the road. I like my place to be neat, but lived in. Don’t want to feel like I live in a bubble.

EXCERPT:

I first saw her at the news kiosk parked in front of the new city library. I won’t lie to you. She was a fine looking woman. Fucking radiant.

Her silky golden hair was pulled back into a ponytail. The sun glinted off her honey-colored skin, which appeared to sparkle but must have been the sunlight catching her just the right way. She was helping the vendor, an odd little man, to his feet. Her white sundress dipped low in the front when she bent down, revealing two perfect, perky breasts. She was wearing one of those see-through bras, and it was doing a commendable job. Dammit if her pink nipples didn’t wink at me. I swallowed, more like gulped. A wave of desire hit me, sweeping over my entire body. I had to clamp my mouth shut before the totally understandable growl rose up my throat and escaped.

A crowd had gathered and I pushed my way to the front of the kiosk and flashed my badge.

“What happened?” I asked the odd man.

She turned a gorgeous pair of brown eyes on me. I was stunned speechless for a moment, almost took a step back. Her gaze seemed to look through me. A woman looks at you like that and you forget what you’re thinking.
