Why Is It Ok To Steal

This is something that I've been fighting ever since I became published....

What? THEFT.....Yes I'm shouting it and it is because it gets on my last nerve...

Why is it OK to think that stealing is OK?

What gave people the right to think that going out and stealing peoples books is not wrong? I can't stress enough how big of a problem this is...People don't stop to think that books didn't magically appear out of thin air. We authors work our butts off to bring a book to life and create it. It is not 1 2 3 and you are done. We put in many hours and much energy into each book...

If you think we are rich, we're not...Unless you are a huge well known name then maybe you are doing well but I'm not rich. I write because I love it and it is a passion...

I'm sick of seeing sites taking my book or other books and giving them away for free. I've spent so many hours trying to get my books and helping other authors to remove their work and the next day our books are back on another site...

It is a never ending fight that does get tiresome when the law is not on your side....Yes there is copyright and all that stuff but these people who steal don't give a rats butt about it..They think they have a right to give our work away or sell it on their own over and over to make a profit...

What right? Sorry you have none since the work does not belong to you...

I ask you..No I beg you please don't feed these sites by going and downloading our books or helping them or even contributing to them..If you find a site which is doing this please take a few moments and inform the author of what is happening....

I've spent countless hours emailing authors and trying to do something to put a stop to this but there are only so many hours in the day...

If you truly love books please help fight theft of our work...
