So the holidays went by in a flash. I survived and now am recovering from it all. I hope you all had a splendid holiday and were able to spend it with your loved ones.
As the year comes to a close many of us are working hard to fight a never ending fight....Piracy...Yes e-book piracy...It is something that is non stop and a battle that never stops.
The people who do this are getting larger in numbers and don't care that what they are doing is harming us writers. They think it is fine to steal books and distribute them as they want. They ignore the fact that what they are doing is illegal.
A group of authors has started a yahoo group for authors and people who want to join the fight to put a stop to e book theft. It is something that authors continue to battle but we can't do it alone.
If you are an author and want to help fight the fight please join...We can use all the help that we can get since one site will shut down and a ton more will spring up.
We work hard to write and bring to life our work and there are people out there who disregard the fact that it is our work and something that we put so much into to create. This is out living...
Theft and piracy has to be stopped....
So please help put a stop to this wrong doing. If you ever see a book on a pirate site from an author you know or might not know please take a moment to contact them and tell them. They will truly appreciate it. If it were me, I would want to know.

Hey fellow Pink Chair babe ;D Here's to a fabulous new year and making a dent in eBook piracy. They banded together and stopped digital music theft, didn't they? It has to start somewhere, so why not with us?

I just joined. We must do all that we can to stop the illegal distribution of our works! The pirating of any media online is downright despicable!!!
It is an on going battle, one that should not even be an issue seens how the ebooks have a copyright stamp.
I am frustrated for you as authors, and frustrated for me as a reader.
I won a contest the prize was a ebook and as much as I LOVE the author {it was not her fault} I was put out that in order to get the book I had to promise not to share or sell the book.
I am pissed at the people who forced you as authors to out a stipulation on your ebooks.
As a reader is there any way I can help you out as Authors??
Just let me know this has to stop.

I think this is a great idea. I am not a published author but hope to be someday. I wouldn't want all my hard work stolen. It is not fair.
