"Why does the eye see a thing more clearly in dreams than the imagination when awake?" Leonardo Da Vinci
When I grow up I want to be a doctor, artist, singer, musician, race car driver, firefighter...
When I grow up I want to be an writer....I want to be an author....
Ever since I could remember I loved to write..It was a passion that never burned out....To be able to put what you feel down on paper, to express, to create life....To do whatever you want to do with a simple word.....
I always knew that one day I would be doing what I love and as you all know it is writing. It was something I was destined to do.
So why is it that some of us give up on our dreams? What stops us from following our heart, following what brings us joy and happiness....
Growing up you want to be so many things and you wish you only could be everything....
I followed my heart to do what made me happy and what I was good at. I wanted to share my stories with the world and bring something special into their life if even only for the few pages that they read.
I want to ask all of you out there, what made you choose your path in life and were you able to follow your dreams?
I know sometimes we might think that it's too late for our dreams to come true but the truth is it's never too late. If you believe it you can achieve it. You can make it and have every dream come true. Be who you want to be and do what you want to.
I know that my life would be different if I wasn't able to be doing what I love. Being a writer and author has changed my life in many ways. The friends I have made, the lessons I have learned have left an impact in my life and who I am.
So I tell you when I grow up I want to be......
The author and writer.....

I'm so with you, Savannah! I've been a much happier person since I've followed my bliss. Embracing my dream to be a writer has changed me forever for the better. Wonderful blog!
Hey Savannah,
I can't say I've even tried to follow my dreams but some day I will. I love this blog. It has actually made me think more about my dreams. Thanks hun!
I so totally agree, it's never too late!
We celebrated our 28th anniversary today (Summer Solstice, an auspicious wedding day!) and I can hardly believe all the dreams I never thought I'd do that we've done together.
One of them was signing a copy of one of our books and putting it in the mail to a contest winner - I had to stop a minute just to celebrate how profound that is, from where we started.
A long time ago I heard a motivational speech at a luncheon I had to attend - I remember three things the speaker said: Decide what you want, decide what you're willing to give up to get it, and take action now.
Good advice - especially if you start with the dream.
Thanks for the great blog, Savannah!

Awesome Blog! There was a period in my life where I gave up on my dreams and the results were pretty dismal. I picked them back up again and my life has changed in a profound way. I'm a firm believer now in following your dreams. I just hope I live long enough to pursue them all!!
Again....wonderful blog!!
thank you so much for coming by, each and everyone of you
