Just having received my Writer’s Digest, I have to say their article on 101 best websites for writers is pretty helpful. Of course I recognized a bunch, especially in my genre, like:
Romancedivas.com
Coffeetimeromance.com
There’s so much to choose from. From Agent blogs to protecting yourself, a just for fun section and of course Writer’s Digest sites. There’s plenty in here to keep an author on the net for days.
I also found a bunch of sites on my own, for research, play, and great hints on writing from query letters, to the synopsis.
Yahoo.com - Has a bunch of great writer, reader, and publisher loops
MySpace.com – You’ll be able to find a lot of authors, publishers, editors, and writing groups here.
Anotherealm.com/prededitors – Find out who is doing No, no’s in the publishing industry, and who’s right on their game.
Authornation.com – A place where authors post their works, and readers can easily find them.
Shelfari.com – Gives you a bookshelf to place the books you’ve read, as well as the opportunity to writer a short review, and then shows you others who have read the same thing.
Want more…I have a huge links section at my web site:

If you’ve found any awesome writing sites, please share them.
Thanks a bunch!!

Great blog, C A. I have used Romance Divas for reference more than once myself. There is a wealth of information on the internet for writers that is to be sure.
Charlotte Dillon's site and The Passionate Pen are two more sites that have an excellent list of references for writers to explore.
Authornation was one I had not heard of before. Thanks!
